TOUR
The “Green” House
Sherburne Road
Newly constructed in 2006, this four-bedroom home utilizes
heat and hot water provided by a wood-burning boiler
located in the backyard. With both the basement and first
floor constructed with cement walls, this home retains
heat in the winter and stays cool in the summer. In keeping with their focus on saving
energy, they utilize fluorescent lighting in the home wherever
possible. The downstairs has Red Birch floors and a beautiful
cherry banister leading to the 2nd story. The homeowners
will showcase their contemporary décor with the holiday
addition of lights, a Dickens Village and a beautiful homemade
Christmas Tree stand. In the kitchen don’t miss the
butler’s pantry used for dinner prep or the concrete counter
top that’s imprinted with the family’s handprints;
this detail reveals to visitors that the true warmth
of this home is found within the family that built it

One of the first built in Tucker’s Cove in 1999. Displaying
photos of the homeowner with celebrities and politicians alike,
by touring this home you will get to share in encounters with
people such as James Taylor and Greg Lemond. In fact, note

required to have their photo taken in the room and added to the
poignant display. This bedroom showcases a quilt that was
made from many of the road races, bike races and triathlons that
the homeowner has participated in over the years; throughout
the home decorative bikes are on display that add to this theme.
The open concept kitchen/family room boasts an 18-foot ceiling
that overlooks the deck and hot tub. Adding to the layout
of this home are the two staircases between the first and second

Built in 1938, this cozy cape with wood floors has recently had
a kitchen update into an open concept kitchen/dining office area. A
mahogany wrap around deck was added to the home in recent years;
enjoying their hot tub under a large old maple tree that provides
an awning-like feel to the side deck. Visitors on the Home
Tour will be welcomed by the homeowner, in Donna Reed inspired
apparel, and the warm scent of fresh baked cookies. Most intriguing
about this stop on the tour are the themed window “shadow” boxes
displaying Santa’s village from the 40’s to the 70’s,
teddy bears, gingerbread houses, and many other surprises to
catch your eye. The artistic collection contains everything
from glass ornaments honoring Strawberry Banke to old-fashioned

Something Old, Something New
Little Harbour
An open concept cape, this home was specially designed to look
and feel old. Visitors will be delighted with
the collectibles found throughout the home; note the red and
chrome kitchen stools from a diner in northern, NH, the child’s
metal truck on the counter holding cooking supplies and the wagon
coffee table in the family room. The creative design of
the center staircase leads them toward the kitchen in the back
of the house. Even beyond the antiques, the cozy gas fireplace
built into their bedroom wall will impress visitors on this year’s
tour. For the holidays, the family will display their sons’ hand
knit stockings (an heirloom from their aunt) and two eclectically
decorated trees. Two angel figurines, a century old and
part of her husband’s family, put the final touch on this
new “old” home that showcases the best the past has

home. Visitors on this year’s home tour should appreciate
the careful attention paid to the design of their recent addition;
keeping to the original style of the home was of utmost importance
to the owners. This home boasts ample storage in the pantry
with floor to ceiling cabinets and large storage drawers – no
one will ever go hungry here! The open kitchen area, perfect

as well as the earthy green paint scheme that compliments the
creamy bead board cabinets. Built-in bookcases located
in the living room were then added to the new family room to
